A quick reference for what portals are actually looking for when they reject your file.
"Photo not clear"
What it means: Image is blurry, pixelated, or too heavily compressed. Portal's automated check found the resolution or sharpness too low.
Fix: Use a sharp original photo. Don't compress below the middle of the KB range — if the portal allows 20–50 KB, target 40 KB, not 20 KB.

"File size exceeds limit"
What it means: Your file is over the maximum KB the portal allows.
Fix: Compress to the exact KB limit. Application Pack does this automatically for the portal you select, or use Compress Image with a target KB.

"Only JPG accepted"
What it means: You uploaded a PNG, WebP, or HEIC (common for iPhone photos). Most Indian portals only accept JPG.
Fix: Convert to JPG format. HEIC especially — many people don't realise iPhone photos are HEIC by default.

"Signature too large"
What it means: Signature file exceeds the size limit (usually 10–20 KB) or the pixel dimensions are wrong.
Fix: Application Pack has the exact signature spec per portal. Or use Resize Image + Compress Image manually. If your signature is a phone photo with shadows or grey paper, clean it first.

"Background not white"
What it means: Portal detected the photo has a coloured, patterned, or dark background. Passport-style photos need plain white.
Fix: Use AI Background Remover — removes the current background, lets you set a plain white one.

"Dimensions incorrect"
What it means: The pixel width × height doesn't match the portal's exact spec.
Fix: Application Pack automatically resizes to the exact spec per portal. Never guess — every portal is different.

"File corrupted" / "Invalid file"
What it means: Portal couldn't read the file. Usually from broken uploads, wrong format extension, or edited-but-not-re-saved files.
Fix: Re-open the photo in any tool and re-save as fresh JPG. Application Pack does this cleanly.

"Face not visible" / "Face not detected"
What it means: Face is too small, cropped, angled, covered, or lighting hides features. Some portals use auto face detection.
Fix: Take a fresh photo: face centred, occupies 60–70% of the frame, plain background, even lighting, eyes open, no glasses glare.
